As a trustworthy leader with a record of results, Sheriff Patten is pursuing another term and has set the following goals to further serve every Adams County family.

  • Build an ADA-compliant law complex that is safe, spacious, and suitable for re-entry initiatives and mental health programs.

  • Seek out new technologies that allow pretrial detainees to earn high school diplomas (not GEDs) while in jail, and partner with a community college to create programs that enable such detainees to learn technical skills such as plumbing, welding, and carpentry while incarcerated. while in jail.

  • Form MOU's with surrounding chiefs and sheriffs to forge a Southwest Regional Special response team.

  • Create a record of addresses at which citizens with disabilities reside (e.g. hearing/vision impairments, autism, etc.) to better prepare responding officers to serve them.

  • Fortify existing partnerships with the NPD, US Attorney's Office, ATF, FBI, Secret Service, and other law enforcement agencies.

  • Ensure that the entire staff working in the Adams County jail, patrol, or other specialized units is trained in Crisis Intervention.

  • Strengthen this community as a smart city/county by building a real time crime center.

As a current Adams County Sheriff’s Office employee, I have worked under Sheriff Patten. The Sheriff has been fair and consistent in his administration. Sheriff Patten has been extremely transparent inside the department as well as in the community. Sheriff Patten continues to fight hard for employees to have better wages as well as working conditions. For these reasons, I support Sheriff Travis L. Patten. God Bless.”

“For the short time that I have known Sheriff Patten, I can truly say that I have met a born leader. This man never waivers, he only wants what's best for you and your family. This man is a very fair and down-to-earth kind of guy. There have been times when I felt down in my spirit and he took time out of his very busy schedule and talk to me, he gave me great GOD-given advice with no judgments attached. He is the only leader that I knew to pray before every meeting or gathering and invite the spirit of GOD in the mist. Yes, I can attest to his great leadership, the only time I have ever seen him get rattled is when someone tried to come after his people whom he cares for, and that is when he definitely puts on his suit of armor. He often says, "You can come for me but don't mess with my people." I can go on and on about my experiences with him, but I rather just say spend a moment with him and you will have nothing but kind words for this gentleman. I never thought that I would ever say this about an individual, but I would follow his lead to the point of the unknown. I am truly proud to have had an opportunity to know him for myself. Thank You Sheriff Travis Patten for all you do and all you have done for this community, and may God continue to place your leadership in this community. 👏 👏👏”

Charles Clemons (Natchez, MS)

He has always been professional, kind, and someone who would always give a listening ear. Even though I can't divulge these personal situations I truly wholeheartedly support his re-election campaign. May God continue to bless him and his family. Go, Team Patten.”

“Sheriff Travis Patten has done such an outstanding job during his terms as Adams County Sheriff. There are so many ways he has worked to bring our community together and make our community a wonderful place to live. He is a very approachable officer that is always ready to listen to my concerns and works to address them. His staff shows such respect and affection for him and he works hard to hire and maintain a good staff. Sheriff Patten has been a Sheriff that Adam's County can be proud of in our county, statewide and nationally. We are so blessed to have him as our Sheriff. The Adam's County Sheriff's Office is an asset to the citizens under his leadership. I personally feel safer because of ACSO. “Sheriff Patten has been supportive of our youth in Adams County since Day 1 of taking office! No matter where he is or what he is doing, he is never too busy to speak a motivational word to a young person. A few years back when I was on the fence about entering Law Enforcement, I bumped into him at a local restaurant and he motivated me to pursue my career within it. Looking back, I may not have followed through with this life-changing career. I am forever grateful for Sheriff Patten and all of the wisdom he carries with him, this is why my support for him will be unwavering for this election.”

Jamar White (Natchez, MS)

Lemuel Rutledge (Natchez, MS)

“The reason why I have always supported Sheriff Travis Patten is that he has always been a very fair and honest sheriff. I am supporting Sheriff Travis Patten because, over his past two terms, he has made several big changes to the ACSO that should have been done a long time ago. Sheriff Travis Pattern is improving the ACSO with updated technology and hiring the right personnel for his staff. I am going to continue to support the person that I know will do a good job as the sheriff of ACSO, and that is Sheriff Travis Pattern. He has definitely earned and deserves another re-election term come this August 🧏🧏💪💪💪.”

Brenton Doss (Natchez, MS)

“Travis Patten has my vote for re-election as Sheriff of Adams County. Sheriff Patten has shown his dedication to making Adams County a safer place to live. Fight Crime and Invest in Kids is a good place to start teaching our youth that they are valuable. The staff in the Sheriff’s Office are trained and professional. Sheriff Patten is vigilant in the fight against drugs. He has a strong work ethic and he listens and is fair to everyone.”

Dianne Brown (Natchez, MS)

“I had never been involved with politics until Travis Patten ran for sheriff. I didn't know Travis, but God put him in my spirit & told me Travis was the man for the job. So that's when I became involved & campaigned for him. I appreciate Travis' service, fairness & transparency.”

Jeannie Johnson (Natchez, MS)

“I met Sheriff Travis Patten in 2017, in reference to a dog-fighting case. Agencies were contacted by the sheriff's department to assist with the care and rehoming of the dogs that qualified. The leadership and involvement of Sheriff Patten and his staff were instrumental in a suspect being convicted of three counts of dog fighting in circuit court. The cases were appealed to the MS Supreme Court and upheld. Sheriff Patten has a strong commitment to training officers, networking, and community service using all resources including technology and grants. Sheriff Patten has been very vocal in the State and Federal system about the lack of mental health facilities or opportunities for people with mental health needs. I support Sheriff Travis Patten in his re-election as Sheriff of Adams County Ms, and his efforts in improving the quality of life of the Citizens!”

Matt Barnett, Former Police Chief (Wiggins, MS)

“My name is Juan Cloy. I am a 28-year police veteran, 10 of these years were spent working with the FBI. I am currently a Chief of Police as well. I have known Sheriff Travis Patten for a little over 8 years. It began as a professional relationship but morphed into a friendship between 2 law enforcement professionals that believe professionalism is the most important aspect of operating a law enforcement agency. I regularly use the Adams County Sheriff’s Office as a model of a professionally operated department when I speak to other Chiefs and Sheriffs across this state. I am asking you to continue to support Sheriff Patten as your Sheriff with his journey to continue to make Adams County and Mississippi a safer place.”
